a city of bridges
All images are from one exposure photograph and post processed in later stages to get that comic / surreal atmosphere. The subjects in this series are different bridges, which I grew to be fascinated with, during my journey of exploring and photographing urban landscapes. The source of the colour palette came from capturing the available night light on those particular moments.

Bridges are certainly one of many human answers to mobility issue in the past and present. They break the barrier effect and give us a sense of connection to our surroundings. Without them, we would feel isolated or unreachable.
Nowadays, bridges transcend theirs original functionality. They have become a tool to stimulate or to evoke emotions through theirs robust and dynamic design to the passerby. Thus, I believe the actual acts of walking along a bridge creates a physical and mental relationship with the particular bridge.
This series of images is an attempt to resonate my admiration of bridges design using available night light as my colour palette, which is of course my other obsession. The reason is that because colour easily explain things on which I find it hard to describe in words. Therefore, "Colour is my day long obsession, joy and torment" as the great master Claude Monet once said.
